Ambulance Theft
What can be done to prevent Ambulance theft of unattended running vehicles?
Do nothing, it will never happen again
Lock the ambulance and carry a spare set of keys to re-enter running vehicle
Invest in commercial device enabling the vehicle to be left running while the keys are removed from the vehicle. Preventing the vehicle from being operated until the keys are returned to the ignition

Bensalem EMS Paramedic 1996 to 2010

Viewing scheduled for Sunday evening March 14th @ 17:30 hrs Givnish Funeral Home 10975 Academy Rd. Philadelphia.

Monday March 15th a viewing scheduled for 0830 hrs at St Charles Borromeo Church located at 1731 Hulmeville Rd. Bensalem Pa. (cross streets of Rywal & Kings. Map page 3373H7). A mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 with internment following at Resurrection Cemetery (5201 Hulmeville Rd. Bensalem.) All parties interested in bringing apparatus shall contact Bensalem Police headquarters @ 215-633-3719        

 

Daniel W. McIntosh, a paramedic with Bensalem E.M.S. passed away tragically in the line of duty on March 7, 2010, at the age of 39.

He was the beloved husband of Beth Ann (Borkowski) with whom he shared seven years of marriage.

He was the loving father of Delaney and Addison; the dear son of Gary and Maureen Conover; grandson of Marie Conover and the late Nevin Conover and the late William and Margaret Hall; brother of Gary R. Jr., Brian M. (Emily) and Kate Conover; son-in-law of Walter and Ellie Borkowski; brother-in-law of Beau Borkowski; and uncle of Alexsis.

Dan was a paramedic with the Bensalem EMS for 13 years. He was a member of the Southern Bucks County SWAT Team and was a part-time police officer with Hulmeville Borough.

Dan was a loving husband and father of two small children, a quiet leader among us, and a friend to all.

Dan served numerous other Bucks County communities as a paramedic, volunteer firefighter, and police officer since 1996. Dan's life was dedicated to service, and he lost his life doing what he loved.

Relatives, friends, and members of the Bensalem EMS, Southern Bucks County SWAT and Hulmeville Borough Police Department are invited to share in Dan's life celebration starting at 6 p.m. Sunday from John F. Givnish of Academy Road, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154, and Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Bristol Pike and Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, from 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. followed by his funeral Mass at noon. Committal services will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daniel W. McIntosh Children's Education Fund, c/o Philadelphia Police and Fire Credit Union, 901 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA 19107.
