Ambulance Theft
What can be done to prevent Ambulance theft of unattended running vehicles?
Do nothing, it will never happen again
Lock the ambulance and carry a spare set of keys to re-enter running vehicle
Invest in commercial device enabling the vehicle to be left running while the keys are removed from the vehicle. Preventing the vehicle from being operated until the keys are returned to the ignition

Individuals who successfully complete the following programs, in addition to possessing a current, valid professional level CPR card/certificate approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, have been determined to meet the regulatory requirements for an Ambulance Attendant and are eligible to challenge the Pennsylvania First Responder certification examination process:

1. American Red Cross Emergency Response

2. American Safety and Health Institute First Responder Program with additional PA Modules

3. National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care Course

4. American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons First Responder with additional PA Modules
